TightenerSanford Sound Design has released version 2.1 of Sanford Bass Tightener, a completely rewritten version of the spatial effect plug-in, now also available for 64-bit VST hosts on Windows.

The Sanford Bass Tightener is a spatial effect for tightening up the stereo spread. It allows you to set the frequencies below a certain specified frequency to mono, for example 120Hz, while allowing the higher frequencies to remain in stereo. This can help during mixing/mastering by keeping the the bass tight and centered and the higher range nice and wide.

Changes:

1.0 – Original version
2.0 – GUI created with g200kg’s SkinMan and KnobMan programs.
2.1 – Rebuilt from scratch and compiled as a 64 bit plugin.

heisenbergMake music online – Audiotool presents interactive preview of HTML5 synthesizers.

Audiotool, the leading innovator of browser based music production tools, has announced an interactive preview of their highly acclaimed software synthesizers as Web-MIDI enabled HTML5 incarnations. While relying on the Adobe Flash platform for the last years to power its online DAW, Audiotool was working hard behind the scenes to move its entire platform away from Flash to native HTML5. The first fruits of their efforts can now be experienced on their website.

Their two trademark synthesizers, the Heisenberg, a modern phase modulation synthesizer and the Pulverisateur a classic polyphonic synthesizer, can be played live with your MIDI keyboard in low latency mode thanks to the support of the new Web-MIDI-API. The Machiniste, a drum computer aiming sample player, is also online.

Audiotool is a cloud-based audio workstation that is all about the process of music creation in an open, inspiring and collaborative form. Audiotool launched in 2010 and 650k users have registered with the free software. More products.

Modular Structure

All of the Audiotool devices can freely be added to the app’s desktop where cables can be manually dragged from input to output mirroring the workflow of early electronic musicians. This approach gives full freedom when it comes to the routing, splitting or merging of the different synthesizers outputs.

Samples & Presets

Enjoy an ever growing, community fed cloud based library of over 250,000 samples. There are also over 50000 device presets accessible through the various device’s preset browsers.

 Cloud Production

All track assets are stored on the Audiotool servers. This means you can access your work from any browser in the world without worrying about further software installations. This makes international collaborations possible regardless of hardware/software compatibility.
