The Interactive Circle of Fifths (“the Circle” for short) is a tool designed to help musicians to:
- figure out the key of a piece of music
- easily transpose music to a different key
- compose new music
- understand key signatures, scales, and modes
The concept of the circle of fifths is not a new one, but there is more to this simple, yet profound structure than the traditional diagram can easily convey. The Interactive Circle of Fifths goes beyond the limitations of a static diagram without sacrificing clarity and simplicity. The User’s Guide will help you get the most out of the Circle, while introducing some basic music theory concepts. However, this is not intended to take the place of an introductory music theory course. If you’re new to music theory, you may find some of the terminology unfamiliar. In this case, you are encouraged to use the excellent resources available on the Internet to learn more.
MultiInspectorFree is a 31 band spectral analyzer with multitrack functionality. It incorporates a standard third octave frequency analyzer. Center frequencies of the bands are based on the ISO 266:1997 standard (20 Hz to 20 kHz). Pink noise will appear flat in the frequency spectrum. MultiInspectorFree supports up to 4 instances at a sample rate of 44.1 kHz.

MaxSynths has announced the release of Sturiophonia, a free stereo image widener and sound placement tool.
Sturiophonia is a stereo image widener and sound placement tool born from an idea of Turi Curello.
The aim of the plugin is to increase the stereo image of mono tracks and help to place the sound in the right place by the use of dedicated internal filters and pan controls. The idea behind it is very simple yet effective and adds to the sound a pleasent stereo effect.
The best way to use this plugin is with mono tracks, by the way it’s possible to switch the main input from mono to stereo (for example if you want to use it on the main mix).
USAGE: It’s important to understand that Sturiophonia works by splitting the sound frequencies for the left and right channels using different filter methods, so to achieve the best results it is advisable to experiment with it and use the right frequencies depending on the source material feeded into it.
