Sound Delay is an auxiliary multi-channel signal delaying AAX, AU and VST plugin for professional audio applications. You may specify delay time in both milliseconds and samples, with a high level of precision. This plugin – being technical in its purpose – provides a basic signal delaying function only, without signal feedback or modulation capabilities.
AnSpec is an analog-style one/third-octave spectrum analyzer AAX, AU and VST plugin for professional music production applications. It was designed to be a handy visual feedback tool for those who like visual smoothness and easiness of use of analog analyzers. AnSpec also provides peak level indication.
Latency Delay is an auxiliary AAX, AU and VST plugin which allows you to compensate latency produced by any audio plugins, instruments and processes which produce latency but do not try to report it to the host audio application. Latency Delay introduces 10000 samples latency itself and delays the audio signal by 10000 minus the specified amount of samples or milliseconds, thus eliminating the unreported latency. Please note that host audio application should support the latency compensation itself for this plugin to function properly.
The plugins are available for download for Windows and Mac.

Tokyo Dawn Records acaba de publicar el vst Nova, un ecualizador dinámico con posibilidades expandidas.
NOVA is a parallel dynamic equalizer. Appearing in the familiar layout of a parametric equalizer, each band also includes a full featured dynamics section allowing the processor to cover an impressively wide range of applications. Be it a master lacking density, the drum bus asking for more crispiness, or a sibilance problem in your perfect take: NOVA has an elegant answer.
A user friendly WYSIWYG drag and drop display paired with a classic “knob” interface gives quick and smooth access to the various parameters driving NOVA’s powerful processing capabilities. With its four dynamic EQ bands and additional high-pass and low-pass filter sections, NOVA can meet the most exotic demand. Intuitive equal loudness functions help finding the optimal setting without getting distracted by loudness differences.
In practice, the processor covers a whole bucket of tasks:
- Parametric equalization
- Dynamic equalization
- Frequency selective compression/expansion
- Multi-band compression/expansion
- Wideband compression
Of course NOVA features all helpers and workflow enhancements you’ve come to expect in a TDR plugin: A preset manager, undo/redo, A/B, detailed documentation, copy & paste, and much more.
Metric Halo has released Thump, unique VST audio processor that allows you to synthesize low frequency audio to add low end to a track or generate another sound entirely.
Thump is a unique audio processor that allows you to synthesize low frequency audio to add low end to a track or generate another sound entirely. Thump looks at the pitch and dynamics of its audio input and uses this information to control its oscillators. You can add low end to drums, augment a bass or even create synthetic drones.
Thump is ideal for beefing up a kick drum, add low end to percussive tracks, re-create classic drum synth sounds, and more.
You can use Thump’s envelope driven, percussive sub-harmonic synth for the following things (among others):
– Build low-octave support for bass drum, tom, snare, and other percussive tracks
– Create kettle drum sounds from regular drum tracks
– Re-create the sounds of classic drum synths like the TR-808
Cross Platform – Mac AU, Mac/Win VST & Mac/Win Pro Tools AAX (Native + DSP).
Sanford Sound Design has released version 2.1 of Sanford Reverb, a free true stereo reverb effect plugin for Windows. The new version has been completely rewritten and is available for 64-bit VST hosts on Windows.
The Sanford Reverb is a true stereo reverb. It is capable of simulating everything from small rooms to giant cavernous spaces. Its sound is dense, clean, and crisp making it perfect for most situations. Left and right input channels each have a set of 3 early reflections that can be independently set. The filter section lets you shape the tone of the reverb’s output, and damping is provided to simulate wall absorption. Together these features let you shape the reverb sound to simulate almost any room.
Modulation is also provided to add motion to the reverb tail. The result is a more animated and lively reverb.
Soundlib has released Studio 1.1, a free software pack designed to help musicians in their work. Studio 1.1 includes two software utilities: AudioExplorer and MidiTest.
Audio Explorer is designed to be a quick way to preview a large number of audio files. We all have thousands of audio files on our disk drives and listening to all of them to find the right one can be a very tedious task. Audio Explorer is the quickest way to preview a large number of audio files.
If a user’s audio software does not react to their external MIDI controller, MidiTest is designed to help verify that the system receives the MIDI messages from an external MIDI controller.

LVC-Audio has announced the release of Limited-Z, a free limiter effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.
Limited-Z is a specialized and easy-to-use limiter, based on the foundation of being a capable look-ahead brickwall limiter suitable for final mixing or mastering. Limited-Z dynamically combines several unique limiting algorithms to provide transparent limiting on all audio sources. Limited-Z is capable of substantial levels of compression/limiting without inadvertently creating excessive amounts of audible distortion.
Limited-Z is based on LVC-Audio’s full-featured mastering limiter, Limited-MAX. It includes many of the underlying limiting processing engines, while simplifying the user interface. This includes a special customized variable clipping algorithm based on LVC-Audio’s ClipShifter. The result is a mastering limiter that is both configurable and useful, without a significant learning curve. Internally, Limited-Z includes attack and release controls, look-ahead, stereo linking, program-dependent release timing, dynamic EQ, and DC filtering; however, these internal settings are packaged into several unique limiter modes.
Although Limited-Z is a designed to be easy to use, it includes many standard and useful LVC-Audio features. This includes an output meter including VU-style, PPM-style, and loudness metering; waveform history display with RMS; adjustable scale for all metering; AutoGain control (for auditioning the sound of the limiter without volume changes); undo/redo history; and A/B comparison controls.
The paid version of Limited-Z adds the following features:
- Selectable secondary metering that includes Input Level, estimated Distortion Level, and ISP meter
- K-Metering of input and output levels
- Linear-phase oversampling (2x, 4x, or 8x)
- Continually adjustable output margin control between 0 dB and -1.5 dB, and 0 dB and -10 dB for post-production
- Adjustable X/Y controls for the Dynamic Algorithm settings for easily fine-tuning the limiter’s overall sound and aggressiveness
4drX has released MidiKeySwitcher, a free MIDI VST Plugin for Windows that makes it simple for keyboard players to select and change presets of your favorite synths with a MIDI Channel Map, Program Changes, Bank and Subbank Changes with KeySwitches on your lower keys.
MidiKeySwitcher is a VST plugin which defines simple 2-key switches to select a Midi Channel and send Midi Messages to select Programs and Banks+SubBanks from a Midi keyboard set to a fixed channel. Its ultimate purpose is to free the keyboard player from the computer mouse to browse plugin presets (Programs and Banks) and be able to change instruments (Midi Channel) without having to press convoluted combinations of buttons.
All plugins with Midi output are configured in the same way. You can for instance replace Xfer’s Cthulhu by Midikeyswticher in the following tutorials:
- Steinberg’s Cubase Setup (You’ll need Cubase Artist if you want to use a different channel for each instrument and you use plugins that can’t select an input Midi channel themselves)
- Ableton’s Live Setup (Please note though that program/bank/subbank changes will be sent correctly but you won’t be able to select an output channel because everything is bizarrely converted to channel 1 when one sends midi from one track to another in Ableton Live. Why? Ask Ableton developers…)
- Apple’s Logic Setup (I couldn’t test it 🙁 Folks, donate generously so I can afford a Mac!)
- Topten’s Cantabile Setup (You’ll need the paid “Solo” version if you want to use a different channel for each instrument and you use plugins that can’t select an input Midi channel themselves) No link for instructions? Cm’on pal you don’t need a tutorial for this!
